Founded in 2008, Beyond Software is a wholly owned subsidiary of Plumbline Solutions, Inc. Based in Findlay, Ohio, Beyond Software’s footprint in the software industry goes back to 1980 when co-founders Gary Harpst, Jack Ridge and Vernon Strong, started TLB, Inc.
TLB, Inc., later renamed Solomon Software, was one of the market leaders in the development of business systems for small to medium sized businesses. Over the years, Solomon was installed in more than 60,000 businesses worldwide.
From their early days at Solomon Software, the team continued to develop business solutions as they transitioned to new companies via mergers and start-ups:
- 2000 - Solomon Software acquired by Great Plains Software. This combination created the market leader in North America for business systems.
- 2001 - Great Plains acquired by Microsoft and became part of the Microsoft Business Solutions group.
- 2004 - Moved into an independent software company, Plumbline Solutions. At Plumbline, the team continued to develop and provide technical support for the Dynamics product lines.
- 2008 - Beyond Software created to develop project management solution for small companies.
